Privacy Policy

1.Personal Information Protection Policy

INTEROCEAN SHIPPING CORPORATION (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") handles personal information obtained in relation to the Company's recruitment activities (including recruitment-related events such as internships and information sessions) and inquiries from customers in accordance with the "Privacy Policy" (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy").

2. Handling of Personal Information
  • (1) Acquisition of Personal Information

    In this Policy, the term "personal information" means the personal information defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (Law No. 57 of 2003) incluiding the Company's through recruitment activities and other information provided by customers. In order to achieve the purposes of use set forth in the following paragraph, the Company will obtain personal information of applicants from the applicants themselves, from business consignees entrusted with recruitment agents, and from other customers, including the following:

    1. ① Name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, educational background, work history, current annual income, desired annual income, qualifications held, and other information related to the applicant
    2. ② All content of any form of communication, including dialogue, correspondence, telephone calls, etc., between the Company and the applicant conducted for recruitment activities (including communication during interviews, but not limited to this)
    3. ③ Application history, participation history, and selection results for recruitment activities
    4. ④ All other information about individuals that the Company has obtained in connection with correspondence with applicants and customers
  • (2) Purpose of Use

     We will use the information for the following purposes:

    1. ① To provide employment opportunities and recruitment information such as events to applicants, for recruitment selection, identity verification, and confirmation of application history
    2. ② For guidance on matters necessary for joining the company and for employment management after joining
    3. ③ For purposes associated with recruitment activities, such as using the information statistically for future recruitment planning
    4. ④ For responding to inquiries from customers and other matters
  • (3) Change of Purpose of Use

    If the Company changes the purposes of use stated in the preceding paragraph, it will notify or announce the changed purposes of use to the applicants by means such as email transmission, publication on the Company's website, or other methods deemed appropriate by the Company.

  • (4) Disclosure and Provision to Third Parties

    Except in cases required by law (such as when a disclosure request is received from a public authority such as the police based on laws)and when consent has been obtained from the applicant, the Company will not disclose or provide the acquired personal information to third parties. Disclosure or provision to
    third parties does not apply in cases of joint use, outsourcing, or business succession.

  • (5) Acquisition from Third Parties

    When the Company obtains personal information by receiving provision from a third party, it ensures proper acquisition of the information by confirming and recording the name and address of the provider, the acquisition history, etc., and storing it for a certain period of time.

  • (6) Entrusting to Third Parties

    The Company may entrust all or part of the handling of personal information to third parties within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In such cases, the Company will enter into appropriate contracts with these third parties regarding security measures, confidentiality, conditions for re-entrusting, return of personal information upon termination of the outsourcing contract, and other matters related to the handling of personal information, and conduct necessary and appropriate management and supervision.

  • (7) Procedure for Recuesting Disclosure, etc.
    1. ① If an applicant or customer requests disclose their personal information:
      After verifying the person is as same as the person about whom the Company collected the personal information, we will comply with the disclosure within a reasonable period of time in accordance with the law.
    2. ② If an applicant or customer requests correct, add, delete, etc., their personal information:
      After identifying an applicant or customer themselves as the perosn about whom the Company collected the personal information, we will verify the facts and circumstances related to the personal information and take appropriate measures.
  • (8) Security measures

    Our company takes strict security measures to prevent unauthorized access, leakage, loss, or destruction of personal information and continuously reviews these measures. For details on the security measures we implement, please contact the inquiry window in Section 10.

  • (9) Revision of the Privacy Policy

    We will periodically review and improve the handling of applicants' personal information in accordance with changes in applicable laws and regulations. If the policy is revised, we will promptly announce it on our website.
